Default Nitrous help please

Okay I went to strictly performance and they wanna charge me 2000 dollars for a nitrous kit and a tune. I then went to cold nitrous shop and the guy quoted me around 850 for the nitrous kit and installed. My question is this should I just buy my own kit and hook it up myself because the bottles they have is blue and I want a black bottle to go with my car since its black and I dont wanna paint it black I know dynotune has kits and harris speedworks has kits. I was also qouted 600 for the tune so Im trying to figure out whats the largest shot I can do without a tune on my 2000 gt mustang please let me know is it a 100 shot or 150 shot without a tune or having to retard the timing. When is it necessary to change out my spark plugs what shot is it recommended it at

strictly performance is an over priced shop.....never go there....everyone has something bad to say about shops but strictly is for sure the worst shop with the worst reputation in houston...

buy a kit install it yourself. if you can follow instructions and are somewhat good with tools then you can do it. go to psi in webster for a tune

100 shot is the rule of thumb for best bang w/ minimal worry

stick to a 100shot. nitrous kits are easy to install. you have to be pretty retarded to f*ck it up. just install it yourself

agreed, do it yourself and stay w/ 75-100 jets.

if you don't drive on cheater slix or you only race from a 50 roll... then more is ok, but if you actually drag race from a stop... you'll do nothing but smoke the tires w/ no traction

and besides... it takes all of 30 seconds to jet it higher for the track
