Default mufflers

First let me say that overall i'm pretty happy with my current exhaust setup, which consists of BBK long tubes, BBK catted h pipe, and SSS catback. (which are a little like Stingers from what i hear).

It has a very deep & bassy sound and is pretty loud at WOT, but i'm not totally satisfied with the idle and part throttle loudness. That part is just a little too tame for me.

Basically i would like to keep the same deep tone, but make it a little louder at idle and partial throttle. I want it agressive, but not overly poppy and raspy.

I'm looking at just changing out the mufflers (if i can without fitment issues) because i want to keep my entire system. If i don't like it i can put back in my current mufflers, and not break the bank.

Assuming they can be a "direct replacement" i'm considering SLP mufflers or maybe Flowmaster Super 44's.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Keep your mufflers and do away with the cats.

Well i didn't have cats at first, and it was extremely tinny & raspy, with alot of backfire. It was loud with no tone. So then i put on the cats and it was much better.

I just came acroos a "race" version of my muffler. Same design, but smaller. I'm gonna try it and see what happens.

If i don't like it (i think i will) then i'll try another route.

Thanks!
