Default custom piping?

I want to get an SLP exhaust for my fox, and i wanted the LM2 resonators. Thing is, Id have to pay 535 for the catback, and 225 for the LM2's. So, do carshops like say midas mufflers do work such as custom piping/catback for the exhaust using just LM2's? cause it'd be nice to save ~500 bucks.

plus they would end up welding it in, my LM1's are welded in, once i got under there and looked at it i was pissed. i told the guy who put them on not to. best thing is with the catback, you can swap out the LM1's and LM2's.

arent there places that sell the catback WITH lm2's?? i cant remember where i got my LM1 catback, but im pretty sure i had the option of the 1, 2, and the other flowmaster looking one they have.

I looked and i couldnt find one with the LM2s. If i could, Id get that. can you remember where you saw it? also, I wouldnt mind if it was welded in, because I wouldnt need to change anyways. Im asking because my father owns a midas so I could get the work for dirt cheap, and I would just ask him in person but he has this concept that custom work is ridiculously hard. He doesn't accept the fact that an AOD to t5 swap can be done in a weekend, or driveway. He said yeah anything is possible but it would takes months. I ended the conversation there. Same idea on going carb'd from EFI to cut cost of a build. So, I don't really talk about upgrading cars. He says cars come from the factory the way they do for a reason. I laugh. He's good at working on cars, but doesnt see the point in custom work. Hah. Thats why I asked you guys

I have the LM2's and love them, just switched from LM1. LM1's are awesome on the 4.6 by itself but once you pin it up against an o/r pipe its horrible sounding. With that I would say you would want the LM2's, I just don't know if the system is worth that much $. Though I wouldn't trade mine for anything.

i feel the LM1's "require" a new H or X pipe. (sound best with H imo X is too raspy) with the stock pipe, its SOOO unbalanced and you get alot of pops and cracks, expecially after revving high i've decided that my route wont do much more the the exhaust at this point though, unless i can get a vortech head unit cheaper than dirt, as im going turbo and i wont need a midpipe.
