just to clarify, my budget for the h/c/i alone is around 2k. i know the s/c and supporting mods will run a higher budget.

stock meaning your car is completely stock and so is the motor?

you aren't going to need HCI and a blower. your gonna need a forged motor. you can either do the HCI and the motor now and do the blower later, or you can do the blower and motor now and do the HCI later (will cost more that way in the long run tho)

yup completely stock motor. i was under the impression that you could drop a s/c on the stock 302 and be ok. more research then huh? haha

no you can do the supercharger and be fine. but with heads, cams, intake, AND supercharger you are BEYOND exceeding the stock bottom end's capability.

Yes you will be all right. If you read my sig. you can see I am using stock internals. Motor is brand new though. I am not going to ask any more out of it. Thats what my stroker is for.

incorrect.

the OP's motor is forged and will easily handle a h/c/i and supercharger. intercooled you should make around ~450rwhp depending on your combo but still well within the limit of the stock bottom end. my stock motor handled 461rwhp for years and that was with an aod tranny and stock cam. would have been more if i had a 5 speed and/or blower cam.

a quality h/c/i for under $2k will require used parts. if it was me, id look into a b&g turbo kit. itll cost as much as the vortech will but with a bone stock motor, a single turbo kit can take your rear wheel hp to 500 at about 15-16psi of boost. obviously if you dont want that kinda power just turn the boost down. but why spend $5000 on h/c/i for ~450rwhp when you can spend $3000 for ~500rwhp. just my opinion tho
