Default 700+ HP guys - what size exhaust are you running?

For those of you running like 700+ horsepower, what size exhaust are you running? I plan to eventually be running about this much power, and am about to buy some mufflers that I love but are being discontinued and are extremely low in stock - so I need to know what size I should consider purchasing.

Thanks all!

Full three inch on our 69 el caminom at about 600 to the wheels, (not a mustang but none the less). Three is about as big as you can go without it hanging down below a lot of places and hitting the axle on a mustang.

also have a friend with a blown 98 cobra, runs a three inch exhaust dino'd at 745 rwhp

thanks for the tips! I was thinking i'd need 2.5 on the small side, and 3 on the high side, I was hoping I wouldn't need larger than that (and doesn't look like I can run larger than that! haha).

So, is it more a matter of preference, or is one better than the other? Thanks again guys

you want 3". thats that. i dont make no 700whp but i run full 3" from the fmic, to the turbo, to the manifold, and even from the compressor, to the down pipe, and all the way to the back bumper. wouldnt change it for anything.

Duals at 4" each for a total of 8" exhaust or turn in your man card! No, 3" is more than sufficient. I think you'll be happy. The larger diameter will make your car louder though, fyi.
