equal or unequal...
So what's the point with equal or unequal length headers? Are equal length headers more "free flowing" with the air?
My car might need a new CAT so I figured what the hell and buy the Magnaflow cats that are oe bolt on from summit and some new headers and get rid of the stock headers. I was thinkin Flowmasters for the headers since I have the mufflers. What do ya think?

I was informed that if I don't change my heads then I wouldn't want to change my headers. I was told that fox's came with headers and that I wouldn't want to change my stock headers to "performance" headers. The reason, he says, is that the exhaust valve only gives out so much so if I increased the size of the headers then it wouldn't make a huge difference unless I increased the size of my exhaust valve in terms of new bigger heads. Sounds true to me. THoughts?

not exactly no. 1 5/8" inch headers are great for stock heads. the stock headers are pinched at EVERY turn. and they are about 1 1/2"
huge gains ??? no
the sound alone makes it worth it, although IMO you might as well do long tubes, or leave it alone
getting into 1 3/4" will hurt you tho
