hey everybody. i'm new to the forum and i'm sure this has been asked already so sorry in advance. i'm gonna order a catback system very soon and i'm gonna go with an slp setup. my ? is should i go with the lm1's or lm2's. i'm looking for a deep aggressive 'don't f*** with me' tone for lack of a better way to put it. i know both are going to be loud, but i don't want too loud this post may not make too much since b/c i said i want a tone that says not to mess w/me which is usually loud, but i don't want a headache everytime i start my car. any info to help me decide would be great.

 

well the lm1's are the dont *** with me sound you want, but the lm2's might be a little bit quite for ya to consider it "dont *** with me".

 

i just found a post on here and the guy said that the lm2's are the deeper of the two, is that true? b/c to me if it's loud and real deep sounding that says don't f*** with me. no one in my area has either of the lm catbacks so i don't know how to base my decsion.

thanks for the input, but neither one of the videos would play. but as far as what i saw in that other post is the main difference between the 1's and 2's that the 2's are a little bit quieter, but deeper sounding and the 1's are just flat out loud?

 

Ah, sorry about the link I guess they expired on me. I'll try and get them back up so you can hear them. Go with the LM II's they have an amazing tone to them that changes at every level of rpm, each sounding absolutely amazing. From listening to my friends car with LM I's its a much more raw sound and also more monotone.

i've had LM1s & LM2s. LM1s are extremely loud. they have a decent tone, but they're not all that deep. mostly just loud. the LM2s are very loud and very very deep. think of it this way. LM1s are LOUD and deep, LM2s are loud and DEEP.

 

if you PM me your email address i can send you some videos of me at the track with an off road x pipe and the SLP loudmouth 1's. i just found the vids on cd today so lemme know. its not just a soundclip theres vid too so you can get an idea of what they sound like. or atleast its good audio on my comp. i have heard little sound clips and it sounds nothing like them but this is what it sounds like. short vids but i got atleast 4 good ones. and one is me beating a GTO

 

thanks nanaki from what you've said i think the lm 2's are the ones that i would want then. i've got weld in 40 flows right now and i like the deep tone that they have but it's not loud enough so if the 2's are deeper sounding than they are loud they should be fine.
