My mom won't get me longtube headers for x mas so i am going to get shortys. Are short tubes worse than lt's? Does anyone have any suggestion as to which brand? I was looking at Bassani. I also am going to get an off road midpipe? H or X? I have a 97 cobra with slp lm 1's.

 

shorties aren't even really worth the money really. you won't get nearly as much in gains as you would with the LTs.

bbk basani just make sure you get a good name brand.

 

That doesn't mean that they are worthless. Even shorties will offer significant gains over the stock POS manifolds. But yes, LTs are better for obvious reasons...

 

why wont she get the LT's? if its due to price, i could understand because i have seen LT headers go for 700. But my BBK ones were only $400... which is close to the price of some shortys.

 

the fact that it has to accompany a $200+ x or h pipe and its not emission friendly

 

my bbk h pipe was 150 and a tuner will eliminate emission problems on a 96+ car

 

it wont "eliminate" the problem
