finally got some nitrous
today was my first day installing and using my nitrous setup. i bought the nitrous xpress kit, with a whole bunch of stuff. purge, remote bottle opener, heater etc... and i love it!. it made my stock mustang feeel incredible when i launched it. its only a 75 shot. any tips on what you guys use? how often do you use it and maybe should i upgrade to a 125 shot?
if you go any higher than a 75 shot, i suggest getting a flip chip with a nitrous tune on it. it'd also be better if you run 91+ octane if you aren't already doing so. it's a real kick in the pants, ain't it?

stick w/ the 75 , and experiment at the track. i see many guys get not much more of a gain w/ 125 jets than 75.
you just use about twice as much nitrous.
try it at the track and personally , if i didn't cut at least another 3 tenths, i'd stay w/ 100's or 75.
i was able to run 12.50's on a '89 notch w/ 4.10's and 75 shot. and nothing else, i got about 10 runs per bottle, and saw no reason to up it.
i like to make a bottle last. 125 would probably last 6 runs.
and yeah, it's friggin addictive like crack

have you run it yet normally aspirated? expect to cut a good 3/4 second off your et. as long as your able to hook. the first 75 hp is the most effective, from what i've seen.
I went to the local track this fall it was 52degrees at night, The tires on my GT were worn out goodyears. I borrowed a diablo tuner to retard the timing from 4k-6k, 91octane. Anyway I ran a best of 14.35@ 96mph wo spraying and 13.05@114mph with the juice. I have not been to the track in 15yrs so my reaction times sucked. also the stock cams do nothing after 4500rpm, with 373's the motor just stops making good power before you get to end of the track. A good set of tires would of easily brought this novice into the 12's. But I did have a blast with my street car/grocery getter/every day driver
oh yeah definitely.....the trap speed would drop a lot from hooking, but even at 110-ish it's good for 12.50's
my old 'vert dropped 1 1/2 seconds on street tires as well w/ just a dry 100 shot zex and 3.73's through an aod.
15.10 NA and 13.60's on the spray

I have a 91 lx that I have had a NX kit on for about 3 years now. I am currently using the 150 shot and have been using it for about 2 years. Big difference between 75 and 100 and 150. I dynoed 328rwhp and 468ftlbs of torque with nothing more than an e303 cam and 77mm mass air meter and 65mm throttle body. I have probably ran at least 75 to 100 bottles thru the car and still have no problems. O yeah the car has 155k on it and its an AOD. With street tires I run 7.90's in an 8th with the 150 shot not spraying in first gear, can't remember the speed its been awhile. hope this helps.
