Whats the best? is the mac straight shot better than the regular mac cai? or should i go with the steeda cai? i'm pretty much deciding from the mac and steeda.

 

steeda is of course a better brand name than MAC...a lot of people say to stay away from MAC products. but with a CAI the gains will be pretty much the same with whatever you get. in my opinion the steeda is way too overpriced...like $279 for my car...an 03 GT...id rather go with a brand like K&N...its a very well known name, and cheaper than the steeda.

 

oh...and from what i understand, yes...the straight shot MAC is better than the regular one.

 

every CAI is going to be within .1-1HP from each other in terms of gains. just get whatever one you get the best deal on.

 

I had a bad experience with MAC on my Cobra. The one for my Cobra changed diameter just in front of the the MAF meter and caused the MAF to be fooled.

 

Whats your opinion on JLT CAI?

just get which ever one you think is most reliable or best price.

 

I have the K&N, it's a straight shot, but you won't really notice much from a CAI so like everyone's get the best deal.

 

I love the JLT it made my dyno numbers jump when I changed from the MAC.

 

i agree with nanaki, i think most CAI's are pretty comparable, I have a MAC straight shot and im very happy with it
