Default Need Help: Blowing Gaskets

Hi newbie here. I have a 93 5.0 mustang, and for the 2nd time since Ive had the car, 1500 miles, the water pump gasket blew out. The car has a DSS 306, edelbrock heads, upper and lower intake, a vortech s/c, and a bunch of other smaller stuff. The car doesnt run hot, just seems to blow out the water pump gasket when your really getting in it. Anyone have any idea why? Its a pain in the *** to keep having to replace them. Thanks for your help.</P>

I think you may have a leaking HG. I had a car when I really leaned on it with 20psi it would lift the head up off the block...so it may be building pressure in the coolant system..what psi is the stat cap?<edited><editID>vfast</editID><editDate>38005.3739467593</editDate></edited>

The cap is 16 lbs. The car is making 9 lbs of boost. The oil is clean, and the head gaskets are recent.</P>
