'Nother forum newbie :)
Hey all!
From Sarasota Florida. Everyone seems real friendly and helpfull here.
I own a 1990 LX 5.0, red automatic. Motor is bone stock, but I have a ZEX nitrous kit. Can't drive it 'till april, but I'm alittle worried about using the juice, seeing as how the milage meter reads 133K. I did some research though through some topics and it seems I should be ok through about 200K (well maintained). I know this questions comes up all the time, but mines a little diffrent. GEARS, it is an automatic, and I'm running nitrous, so what would be benificial (spellcheck?). 4.10 or 3.73.
Thanks alot all.

don't worry about the 133k....if it's running good now, it'll run fine w/ the nitrous. both cars i sprayed had over 100k on them.
and my current car is also over 100k and spraying it this spring.
get an msd box, and gap your plugs about .040"
get the 4.10's.....they will work perfect for your car, i had a '90 w/ aod and 3.73's and it wasn't enuff...mine was a 'vert though...which might make a diff on the weight and et, but not on trap rpms.
that 'vert also had a zex 100 shot kit on it, it went from 15.10's NA on street tires to 13.60 on the zex w/ street tires.
yours being a non 'vert and if you went 4.10's i would expect 14.40's NA and possibly break intot the 12's on the spray.
if you let someone talk you into 3.73's you'll regret it later. i gurantee you that for sure.
welcome , your gonna love that car on the giggle gas.

I had an E7 headed AOD car that was bumping the rev limiter on a 175 shot with 4.10s. I had to switch to 3.73s. If you plan on going any faster than high 11s or so, I'd go ahead and run 3.73s.
Thanks all for the help. I ordered my 4.10 gear this morning(Richmond), went and got it tonight. Hope it's nice.
NOW that I'm COMPLETLEY broke, no idea how I'm going to afford having someone put it in.[&o] Did get the installation kit though.
