Default Prep for Supercharger

What mods should be done to the car to prepare it for a s/c? DO you want to have a tb/pl set up already done or dont you need one? Should i do a clutch before installing a s/c (wont be done at the same time)? What is a recommended clutch? Some of the ones i have seen on ebay say that a stage 2 is only good for 450 at the crank, when i would think that adding a s/c would exceed that (my car 02 gt 5 sp). I see cars on here with over 400 rwhp basically the same as mine.

THis is a really dumb question but to change the clutch the tranny needs to be dropped, yes? figure that would be a good time to do the headers as well. I am really having to sit on my credit card so i dont jsut go get everything, i have to pace myself. wife will killl me wiith 10 boxes coming thru the door at once, racking up some debt, better to space it out. the only thing i have so far is CAI and bassani x and cat-bak. short throw coming in the mail. i want 400-425 rwhp, so hopefully i am heading in hte right direction. thanks for bearing with me.

you don't NEED anything. if you buy a kit, they generally give you everythinh you need. tb/plenum, full exhaust, etc will just help your car breathe better and let more air flow. which means more ponies. but yeah, you don't NEED anything.

if you want to make the big numbers on the dyno your gonna have to run more than 8 psi and thats not the best idea on the stock internals. so a forged bottom end may or may not be for you.

I like my spec 2 clutch an alum flywheel. Its supose to be good up to 520 rwhp(if i remember correct), spec 1 is good to 420 rwhp. And if you want to go way over kill there is the spec 2plus that is 600+rwhp. Also a Centerforce makes a good clutch, and i think another good one is king cobra( or king something)

Your also going to have some traction problems once you get your sc.

my sugestion in order
sc
clutch
tires and control arms
exhaust

one biggy, do your clutch before you do long tube headers
