Flows vs. SLP
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know everyone has 1 of these 2 exhaust systems. But I have the 10 series Flows and they sound great. But since I want the most hp out of the Stang, should I get a catback like SLP, or would I only gain a couple hp over just the 10 series Flows? The Flows are just welded in because they didnt make a catback with the 10 series, I love them to death, very rare and loud and deep. I found some Flowmaster stickers that come in the box when you buy Flowmaster mufflers, and I was gonna put them on the car, but I dont want to if I'm gonna get another exhaust system.
+1 for keeping the Flows, or
+1 for getting a catback, and which catback
I already have a Mac o/r H-pipe, so it sounds killer with the Flows, just to let you know.
Thanks for the replies.

+1 for keeping the flows id say. the 10 series is a more unique sound.
if you want to be really unique you could try getting the slp powerflo...i havent heard of anybody having those...and supposedly they are deeper than the already deep lmII. that is just what ive heard tho.
the slp will give you maybe an extra...3 hp over the flows? so id just say go by whatever sound you would like to have.
i still have yet to get my exhaust done. but im thinking of going with the 10 series cuz i live the sound. i was going to go with borla stingers...but too pricey. so i am deciding between flowmaster 10s and slp either lm2 or powerflo.
i went to an exhaust shop around here and he had never even heard of the 10 series. he looked it up in the catalog he has from them. he couldnt find them. so i am going to supply those if thats what i decide...but i dont want just welded in mufflers either. so...in the catalog he saw that flowmaster makes a tailpipe kit...which is pretty much a 2.5" catback exhaust system...sans the mufflers lol. so he said he could have those purchased and installed for $250. then the mufflers are about $150. so i could pretty much get it all done for 400...still cheaper than most catbacks you can find.

Thanks guys. I love the sound of the 10 series, very deep and loud. I was thinking about getting the 2 1/2" piping from the Flows back, kinda like a catback, but the shop told me it was gonna cost over $200 for the piping and install. And I dont think it would add much power, but I might just buy some new tips, I kinda like 3" or 4" tips.
