Default Leather Shift Boot W/Red Threading

I just bought this from another member here and it won't fit my Hurst shifter. It is made to factory specs, but it doesn't have the rubber grommet needed to hold the boot low on the Hurst shift lever. I included a picture showing the rubber grommet on my current shift boot.

It's a beautiful boot, I wish I could make it work but I don't see how, if anyone has ideas I'd be grateful. Will match Torch Red cars BEAUTIFULLY.

I'm in Missouri, I'm asking $45 shipped for this boot to anywhere in the US.

did you try taking out the plastic clip on your stock boot ,it should pop out with very little force, and then you can put it into your new boot. when ever you buy the hurst shifter it comes with that plastic piece (for the stock boot) and you could just swap it over to your new boot.

with that said, if you still want to sell it,ill take it. just let me know.

I tried a little, but wasn't sure it came off so I was afraid to break it. I'll check it tomorrow, thanks for the tip. If it doesn't come off I'll let ya know.

Yeah, that plastic grommet is held in place the same way as it attaches to the stock **** and should pop right out. I actually had to order one of the those grommets to allow for my add-on Hurst stick to work with the stock boot on a Pro5.0 shifter.

As a reference, here's what the grommet looks like uninstalled...

Nice, I would have known this, but my Hurst was already installed when I got the car

Awesome, thanks a ton for the help guys. I got the grommet in the new boot, so that boot is no longer for sale. Boochy, you can delete this, lock it, do whatever you need to do.

In the meantime, if anyone needs a stock boot hit me up.
