Help! Wheels!
Heyas, just need a little help with wheels.. Im looking for the old 5 star look for my 2007 GT. Here is Wheels that I like . Now my question really is can I fit 10' rims all the way around w/o rubbing ? and if so what size Tires should I get? Thanks for the help in advance
No, not in the front...
The 18X10" wheels are too wide for the front applications...
D
Get the 18X8.5" with 255/45/18 tires for the front and 265-285/40/18 tires for the rears...
Although you could go with a wider tire on a 10" rim if you really wanted too...

Sorry for the ignorance, but there is no set up combo that will allow 10 all the way around? I was wishing to have all four wheels the same size so I could make use of rotation and prolong the tire wear. If this is the case, do you think a 20 is just a ridiculous set up? Should I even consider a wheel bigger than an 18?
Thanks
Thanks
Well it to each persons personal prefrence. But I did see one at the dealship that had 20s on it and I tell ya it looked pretty good... I kind of wish I had done 20s because of the space between the tire and the wheel well or fender But the fix to that is to lower the car a bit... Also you need to keep in mind that 20s will give you a little ruffer ride... Just all in what you like..
No doubt, I also appreciate everyone offering their opinions. I have always been intriqued by mechanics and specs on cars but I knowing nothing, so I try to gather everyone elses opinions to help me with my decisions. So thank you all
So now that you mention my ride being affected, I do not wish to do that too much. I do plan on lowering the car, but first things first
I don't care for my factory 17's but darn those tires are pretty!! Anyway, do you think a 19 would ride better? Or do you guys recommend me going with what works the 18's? I am thinking of going with the Konig Sideways and since I work at Firestone, I am going to probably choose a Bridgestone or Firestone to go on them. I am thinking of going with the Eibach's or Steeda's springs when I can afford it. All input is appreciated.
Thanks

If you are really concerned about ride quality then I would not go bigger than 18’s. I would also recommend the Steeda Ultra-Lite springs and Tokico D-Spes struts and dampers to lower your car. I have 18x9’s and this suspension setup and the handling is fantastic. With the struts set on 5 the ride quality is much better than stock and I can dial it down to around 2 or 3 and corner like you wouldn’t believe.

I agree, don't go larger than an 18" wheel on a passenger car unless you like the pounding ride and replacing bent rims from potholes all too frequently. I have 18x9's and you can fit up to 275's on them.
Oh, and if you work for Firestone, check out the S03 pole positions, you'll be VERY surprised at the price.
