Default V6 vs V8 Coil Springs ... are they different?

My V6 Coupe seams to have the rear end very jacked up and does not sit level at all. Pictures of GT's makes them appear to be more level and lower ... are the springs different? I saw another post here indicating that if you just replace the rear springs with a set of Roush Springs it will level the car off ... any experience with that? If the GT springs will lower and level the car I'd rather go that route since they can be picked up pretty cheap as take-off parts ...

I think its just the rear bumper that makes the 6 look higher...the GT has a lower hang to it, and combined with the painted side skirts and lower front bumper it gives the car a lower even look. But i cant answer your question weather or not the springs are the same...

Hmmmm ... I'd like to order the Roush set but it also says V8 Mustangs .... wonder what the difference could be?

I am not sure about this but I would think that the springs for the gt may be a little stiffer due to the weight of the larger engine. If this is so, these may actually raise the front instead of lowering it. But like I said this is just speculation in don't know this for sure. And as for the back, they should be the same.

the springs are different and yes the bumpers are different the gt bumper does give it a more balanced look

many have just swaped the rear springs out, and they think the car looks nicer that way.. but its an illusion the look at the lines on top of hte car (waist up if you were to say) but really the car hangs lower in the rear and will throw off your cars handeling properties...

What about the 06 Pony. It is supposed to have a "GT inspired suspension."

Supposedly the Pony has the GT front and rear sway bars .... fordparts.com does not list different coil springs for V6 and V8 cars ....

there is like a 110 pound diff between the gt and v6 but i just bought ford racing springs for the gt and put on my 4.0 and it looks and feels great. even if you buy the gt kits i would highly doubt there will be a noticable difference. pics coming soon
