Have ya'll checked to make sure nothings loose in the engine compartment? Do either of you have a JLT intake? My intake filter was banging on my inner fender. It could also be the springs themselves making noise. I don't have any noises in the front.
Don't think it's anything loose in the engine compartment. It's a more solid noise. I have had the JLT intake and now have the C&L Race intake. It even made the noise with the factory intake. Not sure how this could be the springs. I have the isolators that some have referred to in the TSB.

Do you have the factory struts and A arms? If you don't have this noise what is different about your car?

I have the same problem with my 2006 Mustang. I thought the problem was tha I had lowered the car with Eibach Sport kit. But now I'm seeing other people having this same problem with stock suspension. One thing I have noticed is my "clunk" is only coming from the right, front side of the car. I have driven over bumps with the left side of the car and no noise from there. Run over the same bumps with the right side and "clunk, clunk, clunk". In theory, if one side does not sound, then the other side should not sound. No one can tell me that its supposed to be that way. So what is the solution? Going to take my car to my mechanic to check it out. I'll keep you informed....

Yes I do. I have the ford racing springs so my front is lowered 1.5 inches.

I wonder if lowering your car changes the position of the struts so as not to make the noise? Did it make this noise before lowering?

Hello Wolfey2K,
Thanks for the reply. I called my dealer today and I got the form letter response "All the mustangs make this noise. It is normal."
To refresh your memory, I have a 2007 GT Premium. Only had it now for about 7 days, 3 of which the dealer has had it in the shop. I see that there is no need to explain in detail the noise that I am getting for you and the rest have done a very good job. Mine is exactly the same as you are explaining. My car has about 400 miles on it, and it is making the noise, so I don't think that you need to wait very long for the problem to show itself.
Well, I am going to the dealer in the morning to pickup my GT, and they have asked me if I would please sit down with them to talk about this problem. They have contacted outside suspension specialist today and have made arrangements for me to work with them to find and resolve this problem. When I took my GT in for this problem a few days back, I also printed out many of the forum postings concerning this problem with the hopes that it would put a fire under them to resolve the clunking problem. So maybe this helped and maybe it didn't. But anyway, I will be taking my GT to the specialist that they suggested next week. I will definitely post to you and the forum the results of this adventure. And if you or anyone else hits the jackpot of results, would you please post your findings? Talk to you soon,

Casper

I'm ordering the BMR Tubular K and A-arms monday. The pics they show on the BMR site is not of the production A arms. They production arms have a gausset running along the bent tubing to reinforce it. I'm just trying to decided on the coil over setup that I will be going with.

I had the same exact problem. After I replaced the struts and springs the clunkin stopped. Kinda making me wonder if it's the spring on the passenger side. Maybe not seated right? But that would be weird for it to happen to so many cars.

I just started hearing this clunking noise about a week ago, I had the car lowered about two weeks ago with the Steeda ultralites and also added the Tokico struts. The noise didn't start until about a week after those two things were installed. I have no idea what to check, the car is going in for the 15K mile service next week so I'll see if the tech can figure it out.

Yea... mine sounds like it has a bowling ball bouncing around in the front suspension too. This is the 3rd time in the 22 months I have owned the car. First time they replaced the A arms. Second time they replaced the struts. Taking it back in this week. Can't wait to see what they blame it on this time.

This is the exact ( and only ) reason I have not lowered mine yet. Blown the drive train warranty all to hell. But the drive train isn't breaking Not quite ready to take that same chance with the suspension yet.

Let us know if they find it. My dealer can't find it either. I would like to shed my bowling ball too!
