Default Hellwig sway bars installed!!

We installed the Hellwig sway bar Saturday... WOW! Now to be fair, I've been driving with NO sway bars for a while now... but the thing is I NEVER had a rear sway bar! 2005 V6 coupes do not have rear bars... they weren't even an option! LOL!

The improvement in the cars handling is stunning! Can't wait to see what happens with we get some good tires on! And some better shocks... LOL!

My usual product write up including a little video is here: Just Sway Hello

Do you hear any thunking noise coming from the front end 'passenger side mostly' when you go over small bumps in the road at low speed?

So you have a stocker for all intents and purposes. A stock smooth riding suspension and so forth right?
The GT like V6 pony package has a sport suspension. I imagine mine has a stiffer suspension than yours.
I haven't driven any b-flat stocker mustangs yet. Perhaps I will test drive one of the 07's and see if it has the thunk like the pony package and GT's do.
Thanks

Very nice. Very flat handling in the video.

Well, considering we got half a foot of snow today! LOL! There is a pretty active auto-x group locally... and Waterford Hills is not that far and has open track day a couple of times a year... Can't wait to get the snow tires off! LOL!

Wolfey,

Did you replace your rear sway bar with a Hellwig? If so, the sound may be coming from the upper rear mounts - they're just not tight enough. I found that the holes for the passenger side mount were much larger in diameter than the ones on the driver's side. This made the upper mounting position looser, which creates the thunking noise you hear. Simply loosen, then retighten the nuts (with some blue locktite) to the specified torque.
