Default BMR LCA install

Planning to install the BMR NonAdj LCAs this weekend. I have two questions, Q1, I may have access to a lift, but if i can't get the lift can I do the install with jacks? Q2, Should I get new fasteners from Ford, or can I reuse whats on the car?

You can get the job doneeasily using a jack and stands. I reused my fasteners - no problems.

I reused the fasteners, and have no problems. I also used jack stands. It was easy. You put the 2 jack stands under the axle. This will help so the axle doesn't move. I have pics, but they are on my computer at home. With the jack stands, make sure you put them closer to the middle. I made this mistake and could not get the bolt out as it was too close and couldn't get the ratchet in.

I was just reading that the fasteners are single use only and that it is advised to get new ones .....this was from F1Fan. It is in the handling section and a fairly new thread......check it out (do a search). Maybe CrazyAl can say either way..... here is another mention by F1Fan about the fasteners (bolts) for the rear suspension......"Most of theO.E. bolts used on the S197 suspension arestretch boltsare supposed tobe replaced each time they are removed per the Ford shop manual. Mostgoodmechanicswho are familar with the S197and have readthe shop manuals will usually reuse them oncebefore tossing them and installing new factory replacement fasteners." Just an FYI
