Default Installed my LCA =)

Soo i still havent gotten my springs but i did get the adj LCA. and i got impatient and installed it today. the first one took 30 mins the second took 15 mins. The only hard part was trying to get the thicker side of the control arm into its bracket with the bushings. i found out that a rubber hammer works wonders. afterwards it took about 20 mins for the rest of the work. Installation was a breeze now i just got out of the shower about to go hop in and take it for a spin

glad to hear you are happy with it. i am considering the upper and lower for mine with a panhard bar but still uncertain. i think it would definitely help me put some of my power to the ground though.

I have several mods but have sent it to the shop for everything so far. I figured on trying to do the LCA and Panhard myself, as a first project. Sounds like you didn't find it all that hard?

I am curious too. I just ordered the upper and lowers, panhard, and mounting brackets from Lethal Performance. Should get the parts soon and was wondering about the install. Anything else we should know about for this install?

Did you install everything with the suspension loaded? I've heard its not important for rod-ends but that you can f-up the poly bushings if you install them with no load on the suspension.

so the lca's were a good mod im thinking about doing the ones in mine along with a g-trac brace, panhard rod with brace and rear shock tower brace was wondering if these mods would make alot of difference and if the difference would be a good one, also with the rear shock tower brace i was wondering if nebody knew how hard it was to install one they say that some welding is required.

How would you know if the suspension is loaded? I want to know if myperformance shop did this accurately. Does it have to do with the lift? Thanks all.

Loaded = there was weight on the car when they installed everything (car on the ground, no in the air with the axle hanging down...

I doubt that it would matter very much...but it would be easier to work on if the suspension was unloaded...

The Ford shop manual suggests marking the shocks with a marker or grease pencil with the car on the ground, and making sure the marks still lineup before torquing the fasteners down.
