Default GT500 LCA install

Okay, I've read the various threads and the how-to's on different LCA's, but I need confirmation on something. The suspension needs to be loaded, right? So the jackstands go under the axle, right? Do the wheels have to come off? Any need for thread lock when reinstalling (the GT500 LCA's come with new fasteners)? Does it make anyone else nervous to have the rear end jacked up with the handbrake off? Any other tips specific to these LCA's that would not apply to the other walkthroughs? Thanks, guys!

Brace the front wheels with a 4x4. Place 2 jackstands under the axle, one on each side. Yes, take the wheels off. No you don't need locktite.

if you are not using new bolts then use the locktite for safety

I bought new bolts for mine although they are not the gt500 lca's. I dont mind the few bucks for new hardware. When we go up to my inlaws I'll bring my suspension parts and install on a lift

Thanks, but the GT500 set comes with new nuts and bolts. They're even color coded like the stock ones.

Last question, though. I assume I lubricate the bushings with grease? Something else? Not at all?

Yep -and if there are grease zerts on the GT500 LCA's (stock GT doesn't) make sure they are pointing down. Much easier to grease that way later on.
