RE: tire ?
they say that they mount tires and rims well according to their website, Man it suck having all this stuff just sitting in the house waiting to be installed. Owell it feels nice to come home to after deployment. Im just trying to see if theres anything major that "I have to do" when i install the sportline springs and throw these wheels on.

RE: tire ?
idk if they are going to fit under the fenders. my friend had to roll the fenders, and he has a foxbody too if that makes a difference. is this for your dailydriver or just for the track.
welcome back from deployment btw!!!
i think you may have to roll the fenders to fit those big tires in the fenders bc i buddy of mine w/ s197 has 10" in back w/ 285's and dropped 1.5" and it fits perfect any wider and he will have to roll the fenders or it will scrape the fenders w/ the tires.

RE: tire ?
the buddy of mine did his w/ a hammer and something to cushion the blows, i would not recommend this on a new car although his came out really well, couldnt even tell it was a home job, but you just bang out the needed inch or 2 for clearance, he has a lot more experience than i do, but i wouldnt do it to my new car.

RE: tire ?
Couldn't you just put a "lift kit" on the rear to get the extra room (I know that may sound redneck)? I've seen old drag cars like that before. Actually looks pretty cool with the rear all jacked up with big slicks.

RE: tire ?
With the right offset the car can have 315's with very minimal extension out the sides of the fenderwells. There is a thread in the 2005+ S197 section that has many cars with 315's on the rear (awesome GT500) and they fit. I believe on a 10.5 or 11 inch wide rim. An adj panhard bar will get the rear centered after the wide rims are put on. I have 285 and really think 295's or 305 are more than enough for most needs but just go with drag radials and they will hook much better than any street tire IMO.....J
