Default Just D-Specs

I guys...got a question. I've been reading alot about suspension upgrades etc. I'd like to upgrade my suspension with D-Spec struts and shocks but leave the stock springs in place. Is there an issue with that approach? I don't race the car, and don't intend to, and I am really not sure my driveway entrance will allow for a 1"+ lowering.

I asked this same question not too long ago. The answer is that the upgrade is well worth the money. The handling is supposed to be much better than with the stock struts/shocks. That is probably what I will end up doing this summer.

I have the D-Specs and love them (also have lowering springs), I think they are a remarkable piece of equipment. The flexiblity you get is great. Takes a couple minutes to reset from real firm to fairly soft. +1 I'd think they work great with the stock springs.

Argonaut, kdf101...thanks for the feedback. I think I will go D-Specs and leave the stock springs in place. I went out and measured the clearance between drive entrance and car last night and lowering the car is not an option...redoing the drive is not either lol. Thanks.

No problem - have fun. I think you will really like them. Make sure you try lots of different settings. You'll come up with a couple of settings you like. For example on long highway trips I set them to 7 turns. For normal around town I set them to 3 turns (too firm for lots of driving, kind of beats me up). For serious twistys I set them to 2. Its not a daily driver but if it was I'd probably set them around 4-5. Thats with the Eibach-Pros which are a stiffer spring. Your settings will be different.
