Default Suspension questions

I am having the ford racing suspension installed on my car on tuesday, minus the strut tower brace, since I have the CDC shaker on my 2007 ford mustang GT, 373 gears, 5 speed.

Kit will consist of FRPP springs, shocks, struts/dampners, front and rear sway bars and also ordered
GT500 LCA.
also going to have the Ford Racing differential cover placed.

Wheels are stock 18" polished mustang wheels.

Wondering if there are any other recommendations on additional suspension parts I will need?

Ford racing says differential cover will clear the panhard bar?

Car is a daily driver...

Thanks,

Steve

Do you have an adjustable panhard bar? The FRPP is kit is really nice.I had it on my 06'GT.After the kit was installed the rearend was off 3/8's of an inch.I used an Edelbrock unit and it shifted that right back to center.

The rear end cover is nice< I have one and does not hit the panhard bar.

most companys make the adjustable PH bar pick one. Look for tacobills how to guide and he explains most of this the how to's anyway. he also has a shaker hood. You know to get an alignment afterwards. This determines what else you might need as far as bolts, cast/camber plates...etc GOOOd Luck .......

You will def need an adj panhard bar. I might also suggest strut mounts...i've heard that reusing the old ones can create a "popping" noise...i myself did not reuse them.

I also when with a set of relocation brackets for the rear. With lowering the car, it will bring the arms back to parallel with the ground...for maximum traction and minimal wheel hop.

yes you did.

tape measures don't lie. EVERYONE's rear will shift to the left. The people that say "not mine" are fools. It's simple geometry.

the real question is how much, which is determined by how much you lower the car. Whether it is a small enough amount that isn't too noticeable and can be lived with by the owner is the difference.

the axles on these cars are often off a 1/4 inch or more from the factory.

Hi Steve,

You need an adjustable Panhard barno matter what you believe or whatthey told you. The reason is simple, when you lowered your car the Panhard bar pushed your axle to the left (driverside) due to the arc described by the length of the Panhard bar which the axle MUST follow. If the axle didn't follow the arc described by the Panard bar then Panhard bars would not work as lateral location control arms. There are no two ways about it and to wish it so does not change the fact thatyour axle has shifted to the left. But the vast majorityof so called auto mechanics are too stupid to know this because they don't want to think. All they do is change parts until the damn light goes off.

HTH!

Okay...I will get looking into this...

Which panhard bar is recommended?

Also should I do Re-location brackets to go with my GT500 LCA's? Which ones?

My next mof will be a driveshaft and safety loops...Any recommendations there as well?

Thanks,

Steve
