Default LIGHT CLUNK WITH STEEDA STRUT MOUNTS

Hi there,

If any body has some ideas or thought on what going on the help would be greatly appreciated !

I have a 07 gt with H@R coil over kit, Steeda sway bar @ braces, and the new Steeda strut mounts. I had the coil over kit and sway bar on for about six months with out any problems !... I started having a loud clunk in the morning when pulling out of my driveway and when turning into work..so I bought the steeda strut mounts and they were installed by a shop. They stopped the loud clunk and turning is much better and smoother...the strut nut was torqued to the Steeda recommendations and the sway-bar nuts were torqued down.

I still get a very faint clunk coming from the driver side only, it happens after coming to a stop quickly and when I take off sometimes, or when I enter my works parking lot it has a small dip before going into the lot. (very, very, faint clunk)

I re checked the strut mount nut and that is tight... is it possible that only after a few days one of the sway bar end link nuts started to back off ?
also it was noise free for about a day or so after install. (The shop couldn't find any thing wrong) ??????

Thanks for any info !

These fasteners seem to have a short lifespan if removed more than once. Check if they are still torqued to spec. You might try replacing them if you can't achieve torque.

There still tight ????? Im thinking that they wont hold the 85 ft of torque, just going to put new ones on (all four) and use a little locktite !

Anybody else ???

The spec on the strut nut is 46 lbs-ft, as per steeda instructions.
