Default I need wheel and tires for track

It will be less then a month before I finally get to the track for the first time and see what my stang and I got. I really dont want to show up with 20s. Where is a good place to get some true drag rims and some good drag radials or slicks? I want to get some rims that will last me a while at the track and will hold up when I get my stang to where I want it next summe,r to run in the 10s.

the easiest (and least expensive) thing to do is get some 16" stock rims or a cheap set of ford bullits, and then get some track tires mounted.

if you want a true track setup (skinnies and slicks,) try jegs or summit.

Brian, after reading posts on here I went with a set of nitto DRs 275/40/17. I'm trying to find some cheap wheels to put them on. The best the stores around here could quote me was $250 unless I went with a steel wheel. I've been browsing the S197 classifieds and Stang_Heritage07 has a set of 17" buillits for sale. I'm trying to buy two off of him but he doesn't want to split the set unless someone else is interested in the other two. If your interested we could all work out a deal where you could buy two and I could buy two. Just throwing that out there. PM me if your interested and check out the classified thread.

Brain - for 15s the only current choice is Bogarts which are damn pricey and you can drive them on the street, $400+/wheel

greg weld is supposed to have a new 15" out soon which will be in the $200 range, however every racer wants them so they may be tough to get quickly.
