Default Driveline noise- whipple and now lowered

Hey- Lurker for 8 months- now posting.

I have an 08 Bullitt, Whipple 11 psi kit, FRPP struts, shocks and springs as well as strut tower fixtures.

The whipple make it's own noises- quite nice.

Since lowering the car (yesterday)- the driveline noises are more noticable- not scary like grinding or crunching- just more mechanical cockpit noise.

Has anyone else got this going on? Maybe lowering changed the contact torque on the driveine faces/ gears and now I notice. Maybe I need to turn up the radio.

Actually- it is a cool sound like the Hot Rod '56 (gasp) Chevy in " Two Lane Blacktop"

Thanks for your thoughts- great forum.

what procedure did you use to lower the car? Just swapping springs on the S197 is a big no-no. It throws all sorts of things out of whack.

Well I used the detail I got from the Mustang forums website

REF

http://www.mustangmonthly.com/howto/...cks/index.html

Car runs and handles GREAT just a margin noisy

I can deal with and live with it- no issue with the the car lowered - it handles like no other car I have ever driven- close to the 93 twin turbo RX7 - honestly (on the street)

Thanks for your help and replies- Steve

Thanks- I did absolutely nothing with regard to camber plated or brackets- hell the FRPP kit had no provision for any of that - err I don't think so-- eh?

All I did was bolt all FRPP stuff up and drive it.

If I may- the noise levels are not crazy - "I have to sell this car this is BS" levels just a bit more noise - I have been stepping up in the noise department with the mods to date, so....

Regards,- Steve (TX)

My recommendation would be a good set of adjutable LCAs to get your pinion back in line and an adjustable panhard bar to get the rear axle re-centered under the car. If you go from one side of the car to the other, you will notice that your rear axle isn't quite centered right now. The adjustable panhard will solve that problem.

Oh, and chek back often for replies since the mods moved your thread into drivetrain performance. Once it falls off of this page, it goes into an abyss. Never to be seen again.
