Default BMR front sway bar removal...

does removing the bar effect balance of the car overall in terms of handling? looks like an easy mod to free up 30lbs. or so off the front ie;the stock bar and radiator support.

Thinking about doing it but not exactly sure how the car will react after removing it..

anyone else done this mod?

should I do the top strut bar to even it out?

There are many threads on this subject in this section...do a quick search or search through the first 3 pages and i am sure you will find some pretty lengthy thread on it. There are responses all over the map, for everyday driving you wont notice too much difference if any. The minute you take a few twisties it will be noticed though.

Yes.

Some have.

You cannot "even it out" with chassis reinforcements. You may be able to "band-aid" it a little by running front tires that don't have a lot of cornering grip and by setting the alignment with camber that's less negative than factory-preferred, zero, or even slightly positive. The car will probably feel clumsier set up that way, but it will be less likely to get tail-happy on you.

The front sway bar does have a very big effect on how the car handles. The front sway bar controls body roll. Without it the car is going to be very floaty and will not take corners very well. If you do a lot of hard cornering you will need that sway bar.
