Default racing tires

I've been looking for some cheap used R compounds to use at the track. I found some at a decent price on some Hoosier R6's, but they're 275/35/18. I do have the GT500 wheels, 18x9.5" but am concerned about that wide of tire up front. Also, my suspension is still stock. So, any thoughts on rubbing at the track?

I'm running 285/40/18 front and rear on 18 x 9.5 rims on a car lowered about 1 inch and there is only very slight rubbing at full lock.

The big benefit to running the same size front and rear is you can rotate them from front to back.

The tires you want to run should be fine.

you won't have any problems with the 275's even if you decide to lower... especially with the 275/35's since they're shorter tires than stock.

I and other customers of mine run 295/30-18 Hoosier's all around... and while I am stuck on 8.5's as long as I run the car in F-stock, one customer is running them on 10's.

You have *zero* fitment issues with a 275.

Wow - at about 24.8/24.9 those are a lot smaller than the stock 27 inch! How is ground clearance with them?
