Default A very slight drop?

Hello,

Recently purchase Mustang GT. I plan to keep it mostly stuck, but I would like to reduce some nose dive and slightly lower the car, at least, in the back. (Well, ideally I want a 1.5" drop all around, but after reading some of the posts here, it would be rather hard and costly to maintain good handling, balance, and reliability with such a drop.)

As far as I know Roush springs offer a pretty mild drop. Will I need anything else besides the shocks, to make the car handle well with these springs?

What about springs/shocks used on Bullitt? Would it be a good idea to just install them?

Anything else you guys could suggest? Basically, I want to retain reliability/strength of the factory suspension, and predictable/close to stuck understeer/oversteer balance, while not spending tons of money on multiple suspension components.

BTW, based on one of the threads that I saw here, it looks like OEM springs are stiffer in the back, yet most of the after market springs are stiffer in the front. Could anyone enplane me why there is such a radical difference between the spring rate ratio?

Thanks in advance!

The Bullitt Rear Springs are supposed to be the same as a base V-6 Coupe. The AC Springs (AA on Door Data Plate). They are the same rate as the BC (BB Data Plate) Springs that came on my GT Deluxe but about 6mm shorter because of the lighter weight of a base V-6. I say supposed to because their are documented cases of the longer springs on many Bullitts. The Bullitt Front Springs are the same rate as the 2005-2009 GT Springs according to the chart Ford released with the introduction of the 2010 Mustangs. As far as I have been able to find the only unique suspension parts on the Bullitt where the shocks.

Edited to add: When actually tested it appears the front springs are stiffer than the rears on a stock GT.
While the rear at 142 lb / in appears to be accurate the front usually checks in at around 150-170 lb when actually tested.

PS the "new" 17% stiffer rear spring on the 2010 GT appears to be the same 166 lb / in rear spring from the 2007-2009 Shelby GT500.
