Default Sport Mode?

Hey guys,

Tried using "SPORT MODE" traction control in my 2010 GT today and it just kept cycling between tracion control on/off, as if there is no "SPORT MODE" option. According to the manual, you hit the traction control button twice rapidly to activate this, but it didn't work for me.

Am I doing something wrong?

The purpose of the traction control button you are talking about is to cut the engine torque down to minimize wheelspin...I can tell the difference between both modes. as far as i know you only have to hit it once, the gauge displays that its off and with that your free to spin tires...sport mode is suppose to give you the best of both on and off positions wheel-spin with anti-lock control...i prefer it completely off, i have yet to try to get sport mode yet....lol

I have the same problem but doesn't really bother me as I turn it off as soon as I start the motor. I heard a with a tuner you can disable the traction control which I would like to do, old school i guess.

The computer can react faster than any of us. I don't think it's very wise to always turn it off unless you have a reason to (ie. doing a road race).

you need to be stopped, your feet on the brake pedal, and no throttle or clutch, then hit the button twice and it will tell you you are on sport mode, took me a while to figure it out.

RXO nailed it. I thought I was messing something up too, and then I realized the first time it worked, I was sitting still with a foot on the brake.

Can someone explains exactly how Sport Mode differs from regular full on traction control?

Sport Mode allows more drift/wheel spin than traction control ON. It allows more play.
