Default Question on a sqeaky front end

OK, I know I didn't run over Alvin & the Chipmunks, but I did notice that when I go over speed bumps in parking lots my front end squeaks. Seems to be on drivers side. Any ideas as to what gives? It's an 09 with very low miles so it's not been beat up or abused or been to the track. Any ideas and solutions would be helpful. Yes, I could take it to the dealer under warranty, but do I really want to blow a day doing that? Not really.

My 09 has the same prob on passenger side. At my first visit back for an oil change they said they could try to grease the control arm, or as a better fix replace it. I didn't want to leave it longer so picked option 1. Squeak is back after 5k...

Well dude it looks like you and I are the only ones with this problem. Either that, or not too many users read this section. Can't believe no one else has had this problem or has no fix for it aside from replacing the entire control arm. Oh, well I guess I'll live with it for now and see if maybe a little wear and tear will make it go away.

One possibility is the front lower control arms. A TSB was just issued Dec 2009 - you might ask your dealer about it.

TSB 9-24-16 GRUNT/CREAK/SQUEAK/CHIRP NOISE FROM THE FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARM

My GT500 started exhibiting this problem after I lowered it. My intent is to just to live with it for now since the suspension is modded. The noise is not all that bad and it only occurs at low speeds.

Thanks 6-speed. I looked it up and it confirms the exact same situation I'm having. It actually states "noise when driving over speed bumps and severely uneven roads". I'm gonna have to make some time in the new year to get that looked at. Let's hope they don't tell me it doesn't apply to mine.

Here is a description of the TSB 9-24-16 issue and applicability:

Some 2005-2010 Mustang 4.0L/4.6L, 2007-2010 Mustang Shelby GT500 vehicles built on or before 8/3/2009 may exhibit a grunt/creak/squeak/chirp noise from the lower control arm hydro bushing. The grunt/creak noise may occur over large bumps like speed bumps and pot holes. The squeak/chirp noise may occur over bumps rough roads, and driveway approaches.

They should chronos, they were willing to replace my control arm the day I had it in, I just wasn't prepared to leave it a long time that day. I do have the prob documented, however my squeak had gone away. With the noise back, I wil have to go back again to get it replaced.
