Default Watts link installed

Watts link installed now to wait until April to test

After sniffing round I initially thought I'd go with the Lakewood unit as it seemed both effective and reasonably priced.
In the end though I went with the FAYS2 unit which is more expensive but widely acknowledged as being stronger.

After getting conflicting advice from various folk (all of which were 100% certain, weird eh?) regarding whether or not it would foul on my FRPP swaybar, I got the Fays2 installed and have 1/2" of space between it and the bar. As the rear steer twist resistance is somewhat tighter courtesy of urethane bushed billet trailing arms I cannot see any way it would foul within the bounds of road or track day driving, but time will tell.

Install pics HERE

Did you notice any increase in NVH after getting the FAYS2 installed?

My first line says all Sleeper She's staying on the lift until April showers have cleared the salt off the roads.

What about your Fays2? Did it alone cause an increase or did you have it installed along with other suspension parts at the same time?

The setup certainly is tight, I don't feel any slop at all right now although I guess the Heim joints might "break in" after the first few miles.

I switched to poly/rod UMI LCAs at the same time I installed my FAYS2 can't attribute the noises to one change. I had also previously installed a Steeda poly UCA so now the only rubber bushing left in the rear is the one on top of the diff.

I'll giving the car a thorough going over before my first event in April and will check then for any slop in the rod ends.

I'm running the 'Steeda 7/8 22 mm bar PN 555-1056.

I've checked before for rubbing but so far have not found any indications of it,i.e. no paint being rubbed off.

Yep, I thought I remembered you saying it was the Steeda bar before somewhere.
I have it direct from Steeda themselves that the FRPP bar is totally the SAME bar as that Steeda bar, so hopefully it'll be fine. You nave a similar clearance between bar and watts frame? just a tad under 1/2" ?

Mmm, looks real nice Marcus. I'm on the fence deciding whether I want to go with a watts link. I drove a friends car with the Saleen and could definitely feel the rear tracking perfectly with the front (odd sensation on a SRA car) through turns but I'm still not sure about it. The added NVH makes me leery and I just installed a Spohn del-sphere/poly combo rear panhard so it will be awhile until I make that decision. I didn't perceive increased NVH with the Saleen but that sucker is expensive! Nice garage lift. I need one of those badly.

I know what you mean about the NVH, it remains to be seen just how much increase there is, if any. I won't know personally until she comes off the lift in a few months.
It's FAYS notion that it shouldn't make any noise. In the instructions there are clear and separate reasons why it would either 'clunk' or 'click' and both are related to install.

On the tracks I run with the car there are a number of fast bumpy turns and the lateral movement of the rear end can clearly be felt and quantified. I resisted the Watts setup for a while now but no Panhard bar would cure that whatever the price tag.
