This would be an 80% looks, 20% performance mod. I'm already running on 20"s so I don't want to harsh-en my ride much more. Just looking to close up the wheel gap and I know you shouldn't continue to use the stock struts/shocks.

I'm pretty sure the HR springs are what I should get, just unsure about which struts. I'm looking for an economic combination, but not cheaply made. I'd like to get at least 50k miles out of them seeing as how my stockers have gone 65k with no issues.

Update. I'm liking the idea of adjustable shocks and struts. Which set is the most economical while still being reliable?

 

I want to lower mine too, but I will be driving around on cobblestone roads, so it gonna stay stock

 

Check out the setup sold by CDC. It is surplus suspension for the Foose Mustang. All factory rated and designed for 20" wheels. I think it is working great on my 2010 nice ride and an inch lower on big 35 series tires.

 

$400 for those. About $150 less than adjustable vesions. I'm liking the idea of adjust ability.

 

I had a ride in the Steeda 5.0 Sports Edition last week. This is Steeda's owner's car. Has the Steeda Sport Springs and no other suspension mods. Terrific; comfortable and compliant ride, and lowers the car by 1-1.25 inches. This is the setup I'll be getting on mine. Steeda also makes an "ultralight" lowering spring that's even softer riding, but it lowers the car about 1/4" more.

Dario (Steeda's owner) can have anything he wants on his car. The fact that he used just the springs (which are designed to work with the stock dampers etc.) speaks volumes I think. Rather than trying to get me to spend more, they actually suggested that I go with the springs only. That also speaks volumes.

 

Can you buy just the ford racing p springs that only have a 1" drop?

 

I have those, and they are quite stiff.
Although I have never ridden on anything else to compare it to.

 

Dude. I'm good. I just read for 25 minutes about running GT500 struts/shocks with Steeda Ultralite or Sport springs. This is definitely the most economical option and seems to be a good performer at the same time.

 

I've got Steeda Sports that I ordered from Strano and was amazed at how soft the car rides, (and sits Perfectly) so my vote is with them

 

Out of the Sport and the Ultra-lite springs the Ultra-lites have the best ride quality out of the two. Both ride very well, but the Ultra-lites are just a hair better.
