Hello all,
I bought the UMI upper control arm mount, along with some other goodies, as part of my ongoing quest to get rid of the dreaded wheel hop. But not sure which mounting point to mount the UCA to on this mount?
This is from UMI's site:
"UMI’s upper control arm mount features two mounting hole locations to bolt the upper control arm into. By changing the mounting location of the upper control arm you can move the instant center position of the vehicle for improved traction and handling."
So I am trying to decide which mounting point to use, as this UCA mount has two sets of holes. And I don't know which is equivalent to stock, or what the pluses or minuses of using the different mounting points are. Anybody have any insight on this?

I suspect that the upper hole at least more closely corresponds to the stock point even if it doesn't match it exactly - I doubt that the aftermarket (which tends to be more drag-race driven where relocating rear suspension pivot points is concerned) would tune the rear suspension for much less than the OE amount of anti-squat and push the SVIC further forward.

A UCA chassis side mount location that's too low can bring the possibility of brake hop under max braking events, or possibly provide more than 100% anti-squat.

+1. I used the lower hole on mine and adjusted the pinion angle. Works well for my application
