Default FRPP Shock Struts and Springs

Anyone running the FRPP Shocks/Struts with the FRPP Springs (lower 1.5")? Curious to hear what you have to say about their performance and ride feel/handling.

Shock/Strust Part Number: M-18000-A
Springs Part Number: M-5300-K

i have them. I started out with just springs on the stock GT shocks/struts. Since the car was new when I bought it, I just wanted the lowered look at the time and I didnt know better at the time that you really should replace the shocks and struts for the proper ones with the springs, anyways I like the ride much better now that I have the properly valved struts and shocks to go with the springs. Hindsight being 20/20 I wish I would have done it all at once, but luckily I know someone with a lift. Don't let anyone tell you just the lowering springs are good enough. I am not a track guy or anything, just wanted to improve the looks and handling which are more than enough for me with this setup. I think adjustable shocks/struts are overkill for my needs

I've read some people say that the combination is fairly harsh in ride quality. Would you disagree? How is the car when going over normal everyday sort of imperfections on the road? Also one last bit, did you feel that the car dives back and forth less under heavy acceleration and braking?

I have these shocks and springs along with the FRPP sway bars. I do believe the ride is a little harsh and I'm currently sporting the 17" wheels. However, it is worth the harsh ride for the handling and looks. It's a great setup. However, if I were to do it the way you are, I would certainly go with the Koni STR.T shocks, or Koni Sports, either option that fits the budget. I hear they ride smoother and still outperform the FRPP shocks and struts.

Harsh ride, no warranty, don't perform any better than struts and spring combos for less.

If you want a setup with no adjustability you would be better served with a set like the Koni STR.T's and a good set of springs. Save a hundred bucks, lifetime warranty, far better performance.

no the car doesnt dive at all. I think the ride is fine. It is definately better than lowered springs with stock shocks/struts. Cant comment about other setups, havent ridden in anything different. It for sure handles a lot better. For my pruposes, I am fine with this setup. Not a daily driver, and I don't road race. My stock struts were leaking so I had to replace anyways.
