Advice on my front end "clunk" noise

I've had the Roush springs for three years, and when I first installed them with the Koni shocks got a squeak in the front right. Had everything lubed and the squeak went away.

Just took the car out of winter storage and now I have a clunk noise on the front right. Do you think I need to take a look at the strut tower or could it be that the bushings are tight from sitting all winter?

Sounds like either an endlink bolt or possibly the top strut nut itself is loose. The OE endlinks are the usual troublemakers, but I've had the top nuts on both my front Koni yellows back off enough to start talking at me. I forget what torque Koni calls for their top nuts to be tightened to, but I know for the yellows it's less than Ford's spec (on account of the adjusting mechanism running through it). Don't know what the STR.t's call for if you've got those.

OK ..I cant help myself...I would have to do a through inspection of your "front end" before I could render an opinion...

I had a clunk noise in the front end a couple of of weeks ago. Like Norm said it. turned out to be the endlinks

I had a strut nut come loose not long ago. Really easy to check and correct. Probably do that first since it doesnt require taking anything apart. Just pop the hood and hit it with a wrench.

In my case it was the four nuts on top of the front struts- they are now on with blue Loctite!
