SRT.t or D-Spec?
Well? I have an 05 GT and want to upgrade the suspension once summer rolls around, so I am researching now. I don't know if I should go with the SRT.t or D-spec shocks. Sam Strano has the Koni SRT.t for~400, and AM has the D-specs for 570. I doubt I'd use the adjustments in the D-spec much, but for the extra 170 is it worth it? Is the D-spec an all around better shock?
This is a difficult question because everyone that answers is going to rave about whatever shocks THEY have. I have the STR.T and like them...never tried any other shock on my Mustang other than the factory ones which are crap compared to the Koni.
I think the STR.Ts ride nice...they seem a little stiffer now that I have a few miles on them (strange, because if anything I'd think they'd loosen up). I never think to myself "I sure wish I could adjust them to be more firm". From what I've read they're similar to the adjustable Konis on full soft so for my application they're great. I'd rather spend the extra $100-200 on a rear sway bar...which I think I need now to tame the roll and complete the fine tuning of my factory suspension.
You need to ask Sam or someone else that has experience with all the different shocks and can do an objective comparison of the pluses and minuses of each one.

We prefer Tokico's ourselves. We've had better track performance in testing with them and we feel their ride quality is better suited to our springs and for daily driving, but you will hear plenty of people with good reports on the Koni's as well. I've talked to a few customers who run them with our springs instead of Tokico's and had positive feedback.
If you have the money and can wait for them to get back in stock then the adjustable Koni Yellows are really the way to go.
I originally bought Tokico D-specs and then switched to the Koni Yellows when they were in stock and on sale.
