Talking Roebling Track Day and Vid 4/7

http://youtu.be/1ZVogpovpmg

Had a blast at Roebling yesterday. Ran with Seat Time (www.seat-time.com) and had a great time. This was my first time at Roebling and the first with the Mustang. Overall I was very impressed with the car, as well as the organization that I ran with.

Best time of the Day was a 1:29.802 on my 4th Session.

Car was pretty neutral. could steer the car with the throttle, not much push. Roebling is pretty easy on the car as I was in 3-4th gear the entire time. Topped out on the front straight at 135. A good exit to 9 can give you as much as 5-10mph difference down the straight...Tried to keep up with a new Boss 302 on R comps, but could only keep up with him for about a half lap...That thing RUNS..

Ends up one of my neighbors showed up in his M3, unbeknownst to me and we ended up dicing it up on the track a bit...

Safe, fun, and I learned a lot about the car..That's all you can ask for in a track day...

You were in the Green Bullitt right. You looked real good out there. . It was my PW Boss out there and we were on street tires, Michelin Pilot Super Sports, not Rcomps.

I can't recommend Seat Time enough as Jon doesn't overload the track so traffic is never an issue and up to 7 20 minute sessions per day.

Whatever tires were on that thing, it was hustling. Good to see you out there as well. Had a great time and I encourage anyone in reasonable driving distance to check it out-

What kind of times was the Boss running? If you don't mind me asking.

I know it might be hard to find out, but I'm curious to know what the average times would be in an S197, in general. Same thing for a few other tracks I've had my eyes on for a while.

I only ran 2 sessions, Jon ran the rest, buy had a fast lap of 1:23.6 in the 0900 session. Should be faster but I need bigger Man Bearings in turn 3.

Ill be going again at the end of April.

My best time around there is 1:25 on Nitto NT05's (I've also recently learned my SC hasn't been doing anything)

when i go in 2 weeks i'll be on Pilot Supersports and hopefully a better working engine.

what speed do you carry through 3?
