Default Where to get front strut boot?

I'm revising my stang's suspension, and I've misplaced one of the front strut boots (the plastic accordian tube, with the metal ring at the top for the strut shaft to pass through)

Does anyone know where I can pick one up? (short of trying to get a salvage yard to break down a whole strut assembly). It doesn't seem to come up as a separate part on Ford parts sites, and no aftermarket equivalent seems to be available.

I ran into the same problem and finally concluded that no one sell the boot separately. I have a friend working as a local Ford dealership part manager and he confirms that the dust boot is not available separately.

Your best bet is to buy a complete used strut assembly and take the boot and bump stops from it.

Yeah, I figure that may be the way it goes. I already have a fresh bumper from the Ford Racing jounce kit, so I don't even need that. It's just going to bug me buying a whole strut just to get a silly plastic tube and a little metal cap.

Yeah, I managed to buy a set. Found someone selling a used set of struts with boots on eBay. It was clear the auction wasn't moving, so I messaged him and offered 1/2 his asking price just for the boots, which he accepted.

Quick question...what's the bottom rubber part called that sits on the bottom of the strut? The part that the spring sits in....does this come with a new set of struts, or is this something you had to transfer?

They're called spring isolators. Do believe you can buy them separately unlike the dust boots. Aftermarket springs generally do not include the isolators

They are spring isolators, but Ford chooses to call the "Sleeves" in their catalog
