Default Pinion angle question

I plan on getting coil-overs and i plan on lowering it about 1.5 inches (i have long tubes and I dont want to destroy them) I was wondering if anyone had pinion angle issues with that height drop (1.5 inches) I want to make sure I have everything for my coilover install ready. I got a good deal from jay at hyper motive on coilovers

Shelby GTs like mine are 1.5 " lower than a stock GT and have no issues, except as I understand it if you drag race you should get an adjustable upper rear control arm and correct the angle for best traction.

If you have a one piece driveshaft you'll have issues that can be addressed with an adjustable UCA.

^^Yes......but
If you have the stock DS then PA isnt a problem. You will need an adjustable panhard bar to correct the rear end though.

You don't need anything adjustable, not even a PHB. Where need means you have to have it or you will have an issue that is.

You can put the c/o's on without an Adjustable UCA, Adjustable LCA's, LCA brackets, or even an adjustable PHB. There are reasons for each, but none of those are 100% must do things.

An adjustable phb is going to be necessary if you rear end is uneven or off center after lowering. You may not need it. Call me again if you have anymore questions bud.

I disagree... The car will shift some, but it's not a mile. See also every Shelby GT made that was lowered and did NOT have any adjustable parts under it, including a PHB. Also some cars sit off the wrong way at stock height, particularly Brembo cars, and lowering squares them up. But even in normal cases we are talking 1/8 to 1/4" off laterally most of the time, and again you had OEM cars that were this way.

Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad idea and even better is a Watts link as they handle WAY better. But there is a difference between *have to have* and something to think about.

And keep in mind, I also sell PHB's.... I have no ulterior motive to say this other than it's true. Not like I risk losing out because I don't have the parts, I have lots of PHB options.
