eibach pro kit?

hey guys,

I have been a lurker for a while, and I am now finally going to start upgrading my mustang.

2008 GT

The first upgrade I want to do is a mild suspension upgrade.

It is my daily driver (for now) and just want a small drop for looks. I occasionally take it to a nice windy canyon road and have a little fun but that is the extent of my driving.

Do you think the eibach pro kit is a good fit for me?

Any other suggestions in the same price range?

thanks guys

i dont see why those would be a bad choice at all.

for a little less cost the Ford Racing K springs are what i chose. They have slightly less drop in the rear than the Eibach kit.

I have the Ford Racing K Springs on my GT and I find the rear end to sit a tad high compared to the front which settled a tad lower up front. Stiff but not crazy.

I went with Eibach Pro's which gave me an 1 1/2 " drop front and rear.
Also went with Tokico struts and shocks ....Prepare to have a firmer ride
with the Pro's.

I'd go with BMR springs.

I did the Stack Racing springs, rear only. Dropped it 1 1/2" now the car is level. From the
factory these pony cars are high in the rear and will "float" which is dangerous! I fixed mine
with no strut upgrade till I need to replace shocks. My pony really handles much better now.

small update:

i ordered the pro kit, gt500 strut mounts and was dry fitting everything when I realized the pro kit does not include new front bump stomps or jounce stops if you will.

I was trying to avoid the route of renting a spring compressor and looks like I would still need one.

But if you buy the gt500 bump stop kit from ford racing you could do an upgrade and avoid renting a spring compressor which would also save you time since you would not have to disassemble your factory struts.

Just an FYI to those looking into the pro kit from eibach.

here is a link to what I am speaking of. plus you get new rears also

very nice....I'm a big fan of the pro-kit.

I'm running the UPR Pro Series lowering springs on my '06 GT. They are made by Eibach to the same specs as Eibach Pro Kit springs. I'm running these springs with Koni shocks & struts and it has a great balance between improved handling and good ride quality.
