Default Unique Tire Needs (Suggestions Please)

I will be due for some new tires soon, and I have some unique tire needs. I am currently running BF Goodrich G-Force in the following sizes:
255/45ZR18 (front)
285/40ZR18 (rear)
I am pretty pleased with the overall performance of them, they are just too loud. I mean, my wife won't hardly ride in the car they're so loud.
Now for what I need. I live 12 miles from the nearest paved road. So if anyone has experience with their tires on dirt, I need to hear from them. I would also describe my driving style as somewhere between very spirited and maniacal. I don't drive in much water (can't get to the highway when it rains). I drive on snow occasionally.
I have been looking at the Nitto Extreme Performance NT 555 and the Continental Extreme Contact DW. But I'm open to any suggestions.

No dirt road drivers here? Ok, what about those two choices in general?

My 20 year old son lives in Oregon and drives his 05' Mustang in dirt, rain and light snow with Toyo Proxes 4, size 275/35/18. He loves them.

As far as noise is concerned, I don't think you're going to find a performance oriented tire that's going to be any less noisy than your BFGs (by that I mean summer, max performance, extreme performance, comp.). You'll likely find you'll have to revert to an all-season tire with more forgiving sidewalls to reduce the road noise noticeably. Performance tires in general are just too stiff to handle most dirt roads without complaint.

Just give it this treatment and call it good.

no experience in dirt but... if you have the gforce kdw/2 I know what you mean about the noise. those suckers ROAR. Now, I have the gforce sport comp 2 (totally different tread design) and they have been great so far as noise is concerned. although I only have about 5,000 miles on them.

another really quiet tire i've seen was the hankook ventus v12. they were very quiet, but seemed to sacrifice some performance for that (went from the bfg kdw/2 to those at one point).

Goodyear is coming out with a new Eagle Sport all-season tire. Here is a sticky about them, with a link to a question&answer thread -

Can't hurt to ask the experts...

Ive read good things about the continental, and it just looks like a quiet tire. Probably your best option if price and sound are a real concern and only used in summer.

I have experience with pilot super sports, and they are very quiet and seemed good until below 75*. The fronts never failed me but the rears, i couldnt get traction in degrees below 75 even with 295 width.

My current tires (sig) arent as quiet as the pilot super sports, noticibly louder. They seem to preform well though, I havent tested in cooler temperatures yet, time will tell.

In colorado, i think i would go with that all season ^ If it gets cold and you plan on driving, dont get a summer tire. They will likely be useless below 70*
