Default correcting front suspension??

Ive recently lowered my 2005 GT with ford K springs, koni sports and Max Motorsports CC plates. K springs should have brought it down 1.5 inches.

I havnt done the bumpsteer or taken it in for an alignment yet (rarely drive it) since I was going to replace the balljoints since Ive heard that the factory ones are junk.

can I get away with GT500 front control arms? or do I need to use the Steeda X2 balljoints in order to correct the steering geometry?

Ive seen that BMR have a different style front control arm for lowered cars. I dont know if those are needed for just having the car dropped 1.5 inches.

my question I guess is, do I need to do anything special to correct the front end? or can I get away with just the GT500 arms (which I know of somone selling for cheap)

thanks

I don't think it's necessary to get the control arms or ball joints if not tracking the car. I have the Roush Trak Pak suspension and added the Steeda bump steer kit. About a year later installed the Steeda X5 ball joints only because the spindle is longer and two of my friend's cars broke their ball joints on track.

thanks, I dont plan on taking this car to the track... the closest one is about 4 hrs away.

I was just going to get the GT500 arms, cuz I saw someone selling them for cheap, and the GT500 arms are a thicker steel from what ive read

Even then, the GT500 control arms are not necessary. I would spend that money elsewhere.

^^correct. You don't NEED different front control arms. I ran Koni Sports and UPR/Eibach Pro springs (which are the same as FRPP K) on my 06 GT. I just zeroed out the toe angle and everything worked great!

thanks, guys.

also gonna pass on the bumpsteer too, talking with you guys and the guys from Maximum motorsports, Ive learned that less is more.

with regards to the GT500 arms tho, Im going to get the ones I found on another forum. 17,000 miles on them, perfect condition and they only want 100 bucks. considering I need to do the balljoints anyway (read about that TSB) 100 bucks is cheaper than buying ball joints, having a shop press out the old ones and press the new ones in. considering I have to take them off anyway.

then I just gotta swing over to the alignment shop.
