Default How good are Koni STR.T struts & shocks?

It looks like through a little bargain shopping I can put together a complete set of Koni STR.T's and GT500 strut mounts for right around $400.

Seeing as my factory struts & shocks have 80K on them I'm looking to upgrade in the next year or so. I've always heard good things about Koni but I don't know much about the STR.T line. Who has them?

They're pretty much the #1 most recommended shock/strut on the forum if that tells you anything. If you can spring for actual camber plates instead of just the GT500 mounts I would, but that's up to you.

I have used them for over 12,000 miles & very happy with them. I'm using the GT500 mounts with no issues.

I have them on my '12. They are a great shock for the street. They lack the adjustability of higher end Koni's, but that doesn't bother me. The ride is definitely firmer than stock, but I also have lowering springs. For the price, you can't beat them.

Great for the price, I want coil overs and can not decide due to prices. Wow, I just decided as AM has Koni Yellows for $491.00 shipped. I ordered them last Sunday!

I replaced my factory shocks at around 42K miles with the STR.Ts. I've put another 95K miles on them since, and they're still far and away better than the original equipment was even with only 25K on the clock.

If you don't need an adjustable shock, get the STR.Ts.

I have had the STR.T's on my '06 GT 'vert for 60-70K miles and I really like them. I installed them with the GT500 mounts. I recommend them.

I have them and they are great, especially if you are lowered. If you track or something maybe go for adj. but for a street car they are perfect.

I love mine. Miles ahead of the stock ones. Especially paired with the steeda sport springs

How do yall think they will do with some hard auto-x or road racing events? Will they hold up to abuse?
