Hey, when Shelby converts a GT into a Shelby GT, they cut out the H from the H-pipe and replace it with an X-pipe (FRPP I would assume). My question is do they clamp the new X-pipe on or weld it on? Does anyone have a pic of the X-pipe on their Shelby GT? Thanks.
i've seen mine up in the air and it don't look like that underneath. however i don't remember if it was clamped or welded, but it don't look like that with those clamps.
i think the shelby gt has the midpipe bolted on, not clamped or welded. idk, but thats what i would think, they wouldnt convert a gt to a shelby, but rather have better parts bolted in to start with.
Flat sleeve clamps are the worst things to use to keep the pipe-end together. Use U-clamps instead or at least get 3 to 4 weld-tacks on the edges of the flat sleeves.
