Engine Builders Signatures
A couple of weeks ago, I went to the Romeo engine assembly plant and went on a tour. During that tour, I got to meet the builders of my engine. I had them sign a picture collage that I created and they even signed the radiator cover. I have another radiator cover on order to replace this one so I can clear coat it to preserve their signatures.
I'll post a few pictures of my engine builders in a few hours.

This was an event put on by Team Shelby. There were 100 people that was allowed to take the tours. The tours are not open to the public. If you join Team Shelby web site, you might be able to see your builders in one of the threads. They were building the 09's but didn't get a peek at the 2010. I do know that the 2011 5.4 engine will be an aluminum block and that either 2010 or 2011 will recieve an extra heavy duty clutch.

There is a TSB on them. Here is a simple test to do:
Start the car, try to push the shifter into reverse with the clutch out. I know it won't go into reverse. Now with some pressure on the shifter, push in the clutch. If it takes a while to get the car into reverse then your a candidate for the TSB. I had a SVT engineer who designed the new clutch test mine and that is the way he did mine and several others while in Dearborn. Since mine was built after a certain date, I will not need the tail shaft. I will need the sycro's and clutch. I am going to have my dealer do it over the winter when I barely use the car.

Here are some pictures that I promised:
Here is me and my 2 builders. The guy in the hat is Terry Barr and the guy with the white GT500 shirt is Mike Deitch with another guy in the black jacket who's engine was built by these 2.
Here is their signatures:

My brother used to work at that plant and now he is at the transmission plant at 18 1/2 and van dyke. Car looks great and the engine builders really take pride in the motors they build! Congrats... I watched my motor being built (thanks Bro!)

They do take alot of pride in building those engines. My buildrr told me that they take so much pride because their name goes on each and every engine they build. They don't want to have any disappointed customers come back to them. We also seen the 4.6 engines being built but that was more like an assembly line build.
