Default Take-off

Since this is the Shelby section, I figured I would ask here.

Where is a good place to get Shelby take-off parts (rims, brakes, and etc)?

Please let me know. Thank you!

Ebay...lol

I just picked up a nice GT500 front brake kit for 629 including shipping. I think I just need to change the rotors though cause they are drilled, and I am not 100% sure its quality stuff since it never was drilled from the factory :/

personally, I'm tired of ebay. I can't stand using paypal, and the shipping cost is usually too high.

drilled rotors are great for getting rid of excess heat and gas that is created from braking. however, cross drilling significantly decreases the rotors strength. they are used primarily on race cars, that will probably get a brake job before the next weekend.

Amen, brother. eBay owns PayPal so you do the math.

The modern day brake pads dont gas as near as much as the brake pads
of olden days. So cross drilling just creates stress fracture points and no
gains from 'venting gasses'. Slotted brake rotors handle the gasses well
enough. Ceramic brake pads dont even really gas as much as the older
organic pads that came before the semi-metallic or metallic dust producing
pads.

I've got some take off parts from a friend's SuperSnake conversion for sale. He travels a lot, so I'm helping him.

I've got his blower/hood/driveshaft/coilover shocks/and 3:55 ring and pinion left.

email me at:

bryano@email.beaufortccc.edu

for more pics and pricing. Thanks!
