Just Ordered
Got my name down for a 2010 GT500 in black with silver. Got the electronics package w/dvd, voice nav, sync, satellite, etc. I'm pretty damn impatient and am dying to get the car. In the meantime I'm just trying not to let anyone ding my doors or anything before I try the trade in. I'm kind of stuck since I will probably get more if I can manage to sell the 05 on my own but I have no idea when the car is arriving and the poor sales manager doesn't want to commit to a number since he had no idea either.

My dealer is unwilling to commit to a number but the competing dealership (who tried to sell me an automatic V6 convertible when i asked about the Shelby...) told me they would have their first one in 10 weeks. Too bad the salesman was such a jackass when I first went there. Had he listened to me when I said "I am only interested in the 2010 GT500, nothing else" maybe I would have ordered from them instead.

Nice!
I also got the push into Mustangs I really didn't want. I mean sure that's a huge discount on the Saleen Gurney Edition, but it's just too race car looking!
The 2009 GT500 was only $40,000 but it was ugly to me. It was a color I just could not live with.
As far as your trade-in, be sure to go to KBB.com and see your trade-in and private party numbers now. Print them out! The dealer will try to rape you on your trade. I think mine used a higher mileage figure than the one i gave him.
And you might want to take it back to stock while you wait, as sometimes they will take it as-is and not let you take off any bolted on parts. Mine had to go with all my exterior mods, as they are what is going to help sell the car.
And with the 2010 GT500 looking so much better than the current model (power, features, clutch effort) I can tell that for you there is probably no comparison!

I spoke to a couple dealerships and the general consensus is that the CAI and radio are fine and actually will help (the stereo i installed has a tucked away ipod connection). The only concern is that the exhaust and the tinting isn't legal here in VA (or most states for that matter).

MSRP only. The guy at the dealership made me chuckle though. He basically told me they were selling it at sticker because I was the first to order one. He said once they have some on the lot there will be a 'market adjustment' and asked me not to tell anyone that I got mine for sticker.
